Every Child Matters- Orange Shirt Day

September 30th is Orange Shirt Day, a significant occasion that honors the strength of Indigenous children who were forced to attend residential schools. This day serves as a reminder of our commitment to reconciliation and our responsibility to combat racism, hate, and discrimination.

Safety Awareness Week at SJN

As part of our safety initiative St. Justin, Martyr CES, along with all other schools in the York Catholic District School Board, will be practicing a variety of safety procedures with students and staff.

Rowan’s Law-Purple Shirt Day

On Wednesday September 26th St. Justin, Martyr will observe Rowan’s Law, and honor Rowan Stringer, by wearing the color purple.  The purpose of Rowan’s Law Day is to increase concussion education awareness, especially in schools.

We thank our teachers, staff and students for continuing the dialogue about concussion safety and supporting Rowan’s Law.

SJN Terry Fox Run

On Thursday, September 26th, 2024, St. Justin, Martyr staff and students will participate in our own Terry Fox Walk/Run event. Students will walk around the school and neighborhood to honor Terry Fox, aiming to keep his dream alive and raise funds for cancer research.
