🎉 Congratulations to Julian Ali!

St. Justin Martyr School is proud to celebrate one of our Grade 8 P.A.C.E. students, Julian Ali, for his outstanding achievement in the Canadian Geography Contest.

After earning first place at the school level, Julian advanced to the Provincial/Territorial competition, where he continued to excel—ranking among the top 20 finalists in Canada.

Celebrating Our Future Innovators! 🎉

St. Justin Martyr School is proud of our Intermediate PACE students who participated in the York Region Tech and Science Fair at York University.

Their creativity and innovation were on full display—from exploring new ways to charge pacemakers to redesigning aircraft turbines to reduce noise pollution.

NEW!!! St. Justin Martyr Land Acknowledgment

On Tuesday, March 31st, 2026, the St. Justin Martyr School Luke 4:18 Committee together with their Lead Teachers: Ms. Comper-Swift, Ms. Paljug and Ms. Perrier, introduced and presented our new SJN Land Acknowledgement which was carefully created alongside our Indigenous community partner at YCDSB. YCDSB Placed Under Supervision by Minister of Education

On Thursday, March 5, 2026, the Minister of Education placed the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) under supervision. While under supervision, all decisions that would normally be made by trustees, with the exception of denominational matters, will now be made by the appointed Supervisor, Carrie Kormos.

Updated History Curriculum for the 2026-27 School Year

The Minister of Education has approved updates to the Grades 7, 8, and 10 History curriculum, which will take effect in the 2026-27 school year. 

These updates are described by the Ministry of Education as:
