Drums et al will be here on Friday, December 1st, for a drumming workshop with our students! Drums et al empowers individuals and assists them in discovering the universal language of rhythm. The organization cuts across racial, religious and social barriers. At Drums et al, “many hands” beating one drum creates this universal language to achieve a unified goal within the multicultural Canadian fabric. When asked how one could unite a country without any war or bloodshed, President Nelson Mandela said, “Ubuntu”. According to “Ubuntu” (pronounced: up-Boon-too) there exists a common bond amongst us; through our interaction with our fellow human beings, we discover our own human qualities. It is through our connections that we affirm our humanity when we acknowledge the dignity and value of others. This presentation is designed to promote kindness and humanity, and we look forward to welcoming presenter Babarinde Williams as he leads us in this great activity!
