Our Luke 4:18 Committee is involved with 3 important initiatives this month.
This month, from October 16th through to the 19th, we will be accepting non-perishable food items and donations for the Markham Food Bank.
Our Luke 4:18 Committee is supporting the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SSVP) and the Salvation Army, to collect coats for those in need. Please take a moment to look through your closets and donate any coats (coats only, please) that are no longer required. They are in need of coats in good condition for men, women, and children. Coats will be accepted from October 5th to October 12th, 2023. Please ensure that all coats are tied up in plastic bags labeled with the type and size of the coat. For example: Adult, Size Medium. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of Saint Vincent de Paul’s work in our community.
From October 16th-26th, we will be organizing a School Supply & Hygiene Drive in support of Native Child and Family Services of Toronto. Each class will be given a new backpack to fill. We will be sharing a list of suggested items for your child to bring in. All items must be new and in the original packaging. Be sure to stay tuned for information via our School Messenger!
