Forty years ago this year, Canadian Hero Terry Fox was forced to end his “Marathon Of Hope” and his dream to run across Canada. Even though Terry has been gone for many decades, hundreds of thousands of Canadians continue to honour his legacy and acknowledge his contribution to Cancer Research. This year, here at St. Justin Martyr CES, our recognition of
his legacy may look a little different than it has in the past, but its impact will be just as significant.
Our classrooms participated in a walking around our school playground and field areas, to commemorate Terry Fox’s “Marathon Of Hope.” Students were involved in a variety of activities that focused on Terry’s legacy and the impacts he continues to make on Canadian Cancer Research.
Thank you for helping us to keep Terry’s dream alive and come together as a Catholic Faith Community.
