During the month of November, students were able to purchase individually packaged & peanut- free Terra Cotta chocolate chip cookies. With the proceeds of our sales, our students will be a part of a LIVE VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP through “The Travelling Stage & Musicians Helping In Partnership With Yamaha Canada”.
On Wednesday, December 15th, students will be engaged through an adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg’s “The Polar Express”, which will be narrated by Travelling Stage Founding Director Toni Grates. The program will also include a live band playing eight musical selections, some live interactive trivia as well as messages and videos from students across Canada. Musical selections will be a celebration of the holidays with the sounds of triumphant brass and percussion instruments playing seasonal classics and modern favourites. The band will include two Trumpets, a French Horn, a Trombone, a Tuba and a percussionist playing an assortment of instruments. This program will celebrate joy and community, while also enriching language arts, music and drama curriculum.
Cookie sales will continue throughout the month of December and funds raised will go back to our students in engaging learning opportunities & initiatives. We thank you for your support!
